The Most Esteemed Family Order of Johore. This order was instituted by the Sultan Abu Bakar in 1886 and is
awarded to family members and foreign heads of state. About 60 mm across, with a pin back to wear on clothing.
Instead of the normal silver star this one is platinum and gold, with many carats of diamonds. The red enamel
garter reads "Concord is a Blessing" around a crossed sword and a kris, with a jeweled crown above. The
platinum back screws off, leaving a secret compartment to smuggle microfilm, computer chips or whatever.
Superb workmanship and beauty ................................................................................................................ $6700.
The Order of the Crown of Johore was also founded by Abu Bakar in 1886. This award was given for outstanding
service to the sultan and state by natives or foreigners, either military or civilian. Also about 60 mm across, and
again, rather than the normal silver, this is superbly crafted in platinum, with gold, diamonds, a blue enamel garter
which reads "Unto Allah Resigned" around and jeweled crown and a golden cipher of Mohammed. This spectacular
star also has a platinum screw back for a secret compartment .......................................................................... $6700.
Or the pair for $12,700.
