Additional Notes
Melted cannons were recycled for emergency coinage; hence the nickname "Gun Money". One of the few coins dated also by month, so this is "July 1689". James II of Great Britain was embroiled in a civil war and Ireland was his last stronghold. MS 62 is an amazing condition for an issue where most are corroded no grades.
